Walking Adventure in Scotland's Outer Hebrides
Off the west coast of Scotland lies an archipelago of islands . . .
Known internationally as the Outer Hebrides, but to Scots as “the Western Isles”, these islands are the only place allowed to produce the famed Harris Tweed. The landscape varies greatly, from soft, white beaches to rugged mountains, fields of flowering machair, bogs and lakes aplenty. Days of hiking alternate with time at local crofts, ferry crossings, farm-to-table restaurants, seasonal events and a visit to the unforgettable Callanish Standing Stones.
