Iceland South Coast Sampler
Are you interested in exploring new, ever-changing landscapes, ancient and modern Nordic culture, distinctive foods and authentic wool crafts?
Then you've come to the right place.
Suited to both travelers who have visited Iceland previously and first-time visitors alike, our Icelandic Fiber Ambassador, Anna Toher, has created an itinerary chock-full of the region’s unique, natural beauty.
- experience the south coast’s volcanic landscapes, geothermal waters (our favorite thing!), a glacial lagoon filled with thousand-year-old icebergs and inland sea cliffs
- take a boat ride out to visit the Vestmannaeyjar (Vestmann Islands)
- dig your toes into some deep, black sand on the windswept beach at Vik
- participate in the annual fall rettir (roundup), complete with beautiful Icelandic horses, a veritable fashion show of lopapeysa (Icelandic sweaters) and the biggest gathering of Icelandic sheep you can imagine
